Ultramech Ltd, located in Staines-Upon-Thames and with an office in Scotland, is a building contractor specializing in a variety of trades. We offer services for large buildings and their systems and equipment, including the installation and maintenance of commercial gas boilers, plant room equipment, HIUs, pumps, pipework, heating systems, air conditioning, and more.
Our experienced team possesses extensive knowledge across different trades to effectively meet our clients' requirements. We primarily focus on large buildings, such as student accommodation, hospitals, and schools and need to find the right candidates to join our team in order to meet the growing demands of our client base.
At Ultramech we offer flexible ways of working to suit our team members, you could work as a subcontractor, an employee or a self-employed person. As a member of our team we will support and liaise with you on a daily basis, sometimes you'll work as part of a team and sometimes you'll take ownership of your jobs working independently. You'll have access to a company van and expenses as well as the opportunity to develop your own skills by enrolling on different courses relative to the type of work you'll be undertaking. The Role:
We're seeking a practical, organized Building Maintenance Engineer to join our growing team. This role focuses on regular building inspections, safety checks, and general maintenance across our commercial properties.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct scheduled safety equipment inspections across multiple sites
• Maintain detailed records of all inspections and checks
• Manage and follow inspection rotas for various safety equipment
• Perform regular fire safety equipment checks
• Carry out general maintenance and repairs
• Replace light fittings and basic electrical components
• Fix small appliances and building fixtures
• Report any major issues requiring specialized attention
• Maintain organized documentation of all work completed
Essential Requirements:
